SELECTED PERSONAL INSURANCE

High value home insurance

Prestige and bespoke homes often need more than a standard home policy. For selected clients, we can review specialist cover for the residence, high-value contents, jewellery, art and collections.

PRACTICAL COVER REVIEW

Protect the cost of rebuilding, not the sale price.

The market value of a property includes the land. Building insurance is concerned with reinstatement costs, including labour, materials, demolition, professional fees and features that may be expensive to reproduce.

01

Specialist rebuilding

Bespoke joinery, imported finishes, landscaping, outbuildings and architectural details can materially affect the building sum insured.

02

Valuable belongings

Jewellery, fine art, wine, antiques and collections may require separate limits, valuations or itemisation.

03

Claims expectations

We review settlement options, repair arrangements, temporary accommodation and the insurer's approach to higher-value claims.

WHY THE DETAILS MATTER

Cover should reflect how the home is built and lived in.

Set realistic sums insured

A quantity surveyor or suitable building-cost estimate may be appropriate for a complex residence. The amount should be revisited after renovations, additions or major changes in construction costs.

Identify items needing special treatment

Standard limits can be inadequate for jewellery, watches, artwork, collections, bicycles and items taken away from home. Photographs, receipts and current valuations can make placement and future claims clearer.

Review the whole household exposure

We consider occupancy, security, home-based business activity, secondary residences and other information that may influence the insurer. For existing commercial clients, this provides a more coordinated review.

Cover is subject to insurer acceptance, the policy schedule, Product Disclosure Statement, limits, conditions and exclusions. This information is general and does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs.

CONNECTED COVER

Look beyond one policy.

We consider how this cover fits with the other policies arranged for you or your business.
